Unilever is a British multinational consumer goods company. They identified a market gap, targeting consumers who prefer to buy locally made and produced products. They will work closely with local producers globally to launch ‘MADE LOCAL’, a new range of products sourced and produced locally.

PROBLEM
Tom Pringle makes this milk alternative in Portland, Oregon. The client wants the product to express the brand values, which are truthful, rebellious and deliberate, while feeling local, speaking to young creatives and standing out on a supermarket’s shelves.

SOLUTION
Portland is famous for being progressive, unafraid to protest and the heart of counterculture in the US. The use of the black, angled slogan, tiny illustrations and elements going out of their frames communicates the chaotic energy. At the same time, the colours, typeface choices, and tone of voice rings sassy and loud.
